With an SSD you reach up to 450 MB per second. A regular external hard drive typically reaches around 100 MB per second, roughly four times slower.

The enclosure supports 2.5 inch SATA III drives up to 4 TB. At an average photo size of 5 MB, that's room for around 800,000 photos, or hundreds of hours of video.

A new or blank drive first needs to be prepared using Disk Management in Windows or Disk Utility on the Mac. After that it shows up as a normal drive and you can start saving files.

Ordered December 15 2025. Still have not received the product. First did get a reply after I dropped email. After that complete silence.
Product seems top but you have to go looking for clear imstructions yourself.
I had ordered it and received it the same evening. Had another hard drive and put that in and connected it. My laptop saw it immediately. It does iy super. Soon replacing 2 old enclosures for another 2 of these.
